Molnija Pocket Watch - Lenin Signature Edition

A wonderful 15 jewel manual wind mechanical watch that shows a picture of Lenin on the back of the case. Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (in Russian Влади́мир Ильи́ч Ле́нин ), original surname Ulyanov (Улья́нов) was born on April 22nd 1870 and died on January 21^st 1924. He was a revolutionary of Russia, the leader of the Bolshevik party, the first Premier of the Soviet Union, and the main theorist of Leninism, which he described as an adaptation of Marxism to "the age of imperialism". He is sometimes referred to as "Nikolai Lenin" by Western anti-Communists and by the reporters of his time.

The case is open, meaning that the face can be seen all the time, unlike others in the Molnija range. The watch face is wonderful in gloss white with an unusual seperate second dial at the six o'clock position rather than the normal nine o'clock position. There is a copy of Lenin's signature in red on the dial and the numbers are in roman numerals in black. A  truly lovely watch that would make a great gift.
