The Red Star Submariner model comes with an automatic 2416b winding mechanism. You can wind the watch manually but while it is worn no further winding is ever required. This watch is legendary among the Russian Military Forces. The Amphibian is renowned for its pressure resistance, readability in the water, anti-shock, rust resistance in salt water, ability to withstand sudden temperature changes and all round reliability.This Automatic model has a blue dial with chrome hands with rotating bezel. The submarine depicted is believed to be an early diesel electric though the picture seems very stylised. The standard Navy emblem of the Anchor is shown in the six o'clock position beneath the seaborne submarine finishing off a wonderful timepiece designed and manufactured especially for Russian Military personnel.
