This 'Airborne Troops' ('Vozdushno Desantnya Voiska' in Russian) Amphibia Watch has a dark blue/green dial with polished chrome hands & case and is commonly known as the Paratrooper Amphibian Watch. The Russian translation above gives rise to the acronym VDV which is synomous with Russian Airborne Troops, much as SAS is with elite troops in UK.
Depicted on the face is the Airbourne Troops emblem which is very stylised and shows two aircraft either side of a large blue parachute canopy. In the centre of the canopy cords you can see a white star while above the emblem there is a Soviet Red Star. This is an addition that is not normally part of the Airborne Troops emblem.
This watch celebrates the Airborne Troops and their very dangerous job. We know them as Paratroopers or in Russian as 'Parachutists Voiska'. There is also a stainless steel bracelet fitted as standard to this watch.

This watch has been made by hand in Chistopol at the Vostok Watch & Clock Factory for us. We have commissioned several models that are not currently available to the general public and we hope you find some Vostok Watch design you like among the 30 plus designs we currently have available.
